For arcade fans this compilation has been a long, long time coming. The Metal Slug franchise has been around since 1996, offers some of the most hardcore traditional shooter gameplay to date, and is jam-packed with awesomely animated 2D art. Over the years there have been seven main Metal Slug games, labeled one through six, and Metal Slug X. For the first time, these six games are finally in the same package together and readily available somewhere other than an arcade or PC emulator (tisk tisk). Metal Slug Anthology brings every major title in the franchise together for a 10th year anniversary, and sticks an astonishingly affordable price of $39.99 on the box. What we've got here is an absolutely essential game for the "quarter-jerker anonymous." Now that we've got the fanboyish ranting out of the way, we'll take you to the grim truth about Metal Slug Anthology for Wii. Despite its awesome package of true arcade classics, it can be a bit of a letdown when it comes to the total package of presentation, extras, and control.

We aren't telling you to throw your hopes of a solid Metal Slug revival in the trash, but we do want to warn you as to what exactly you'll be getting in the Anthology package so you can decide the right course of action with your gaming bucks. First of all, if you're looking for true-to-arcade versions of each of the Metal Slug titles, you'll get them. The blood is there, the robust animations are there, and - when applicable - the bits of naughty words are there.

Split Second Velocity Pc download



Split/Second has the most impressive destruction and explosions yet seen in a racing game. From passenger jets exploding across a tarmac as you race under a wing, to detonating power plant cooling towers, to collapsing train tracks, Split/Second assaults your eyes as soon as you're off the starting line. There's so much going on during races that it's often difficult to navigate the game's courses, though the designers usually do a pretty good job of marking turns and plastering visual cues around the track.So blow them all!!

Prince of Persia The Forgotten Sands Pc download






























In The Forgotten Sands you play as the titular Prince of Persia, a handsome, acrobatic warrior with a penchant for climbing just about anything and destroying anyone who he comes to blows with. The Prince goes to visit his brother and in typical videogame fashion things go awry, magical enemies appear, and he's quickly dragged into an epic quest that will take him through the ruins of a kingdom in an effort to save the world. It's the sort of stuff that previous PoP games were all about, but I have to say that this storyline pales in comparison to The Sands of Time (the PoP game that all are measured against in my mind), and never managed to pull me in to the narrative.

Singularity Pc download




























Singularity is a first-person shooter that draws inspiration from games like BioShock or System Shock 2. There are lots of meat-monsters and Russian soldiers to blast, plenty of weapons to do so with, and along the way you'll upgrade Renko with new powers and tools to make him even more super. Interspersed with the shooting are some simple puzzles, heavy doses of storytelling and plenty of blatant clues to let you know that things are perhaps not the way they appear. The production levels are pretty high here for the most part, so most enemies and creatures move pretty well and look decent enough.

Splinter Cell: Conviction Pc downlaod



Sam moves fast. Really fast. He can get in and out of cover quickly, shimmy across ledges faster than the Prince of Persia and beat a hasty retreat if he gets into trouble. Sam's codename used by Third Echelon is "panther," and that's fitting. In past Splinter Cell games, enemies were meant to be avoided; in Conviction, Sam is a hunter. He isn't avoiding enemies, he's stalking them.

Sam lurks in the shadows, finds his moment to pounce and strikes with deadly efficiency. There may be a dozen men, fully armed and with extensive combat training closing in, but they're the ones who should be worried. You feel like the ultimate badass thanks to some generous aiming assists that let you easily put bullets into approaching enemy noggins.
